Plein Air Paint Out

Come enjoy a weekend of painting to celebrate Oswego County's Bicentennial! Painters will get a map of local attractions in Oswego County to paint including historical houses, locations, landscapes, and local businesses. Registered painters will be expected to donate one painting done during the weekend to CNY Arts Center for an auction to raise money for arts programming throughout the year. We're looking forward to having a great time and seeing some great work from the community! We hope you can make it to our event!

Registration: 

$10 Early entry through June 6th
$20 entry from June 7th through Aug 12th
*July 29th is the cut-off to be included in booklet

The Details: 

Friday August 12
Registration Opens at Downtown Location 10am-6pm

Saturday August 13
Registration opens 8am-6pm
Artwork should be delivered prior to preview, or Sunday August 14th before 12pm
Preview Cocktail Party 5-7pm

Sunday August 14
Framed art delivered to auction location (TBA) by 12pm
Benefit auction preview at 4pm
Auction and refreshments at 5pm

Painters Get: 

Plein Air Paint Out booklet
Includes participant's name, photo, and bio
Places to eat, lodge, and local entertainment
Map of places to paint
*Must register before July 29th to have bio included in booklet

Consignment Opportunity
Participating artists will have the opportunity to sell two previously painted works in the gallery from Friday Aug 12, through Sunday Aug 14. CNY Arts Center will get 20% commission from all sold works, and all unsold works must be picked up Sunday after the auction.

Welcome Gifts
Painters will receive a gift bag with assorted items and a Plein Air t-shirt at registration check in that you are encouraged to wear throughout the event. Bottled water will also be provided.

Hotel Discounts
With your registration, you will also receive discounts at the Red Roof Inn located in Fulton. They will have a reserved section for Plein Air attendees. We will also provide a list of B&B's. 

A Place to Frame Your Work
For your convenience there will be an area and some tools available for framing at the gallery before the auction occurs. All work must be framed or on a beveled / floating canvas
